Its easily one of our most anticipated Xbox adventure games of this year.In a way, Sid Meier's Pirates is like every pirate game we've ever seen. We saw Atari's version last week and liked everything about it. What's more, it not only looks good on Microsoft's console, it plays well, features extras, and offers new control configurations that make it a wholly likeable Xbox game in its own right.

Sid Meier's Pirates is one of those PC games that works perfectly on Xbox.

Honestly, there are dozens more examples, but when it comes to PC games, many PC developers realize they have more to do that just "port." They have to reconfigure, re-adjust, or even create whole new interfaces for the console versions. Activision's Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War, or even Grand Theft Auto Double Pack were games that either looked, played, or did both better than the PS2 versions. Which is why when a game comes from another system to Xbox, gamers generally turn the other cheek. They feel like used goods, and if you grew up with an older brother or sister, then you know the feeling.
